Hi, I’m Sarah!
I figured out what financial services have been missing.
and I’m rebuilding from the ground up.
I'm the founder of The Accountant's Daughter, and I do bookkeeping - but I make it not suck.
Most financial services assume you're a mathlete who loves spreadsheets. I built mine around the radical idea that you're actually a human with a nervous system that sometimes gets overwhelmed.
What that looks like:
→ Camera-optional calls — because not every brain likes to be perceived
→ Video walkthroughs of your reports — so you actually know what your numbers mean
→ The Community Exchange Program — because finances shouldn’t be a gatekeeping tool
→ And when you say, “I’m too overwhelmed for numbers today,” we reschedule. No drama.
How I built this:
I'm certified in trauma-informed care through Somatic Integrationist Stacey Madden at Mindful Somatic Wellness. I've completed two of three phases focused on nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, and trauma-informed practices. (Phase three beginning in early 2026!)
I’ve also been a bookkeeper for over five years.
That combo? It lets me create systems that work with you, not just your income statement.
The results speak for themselves:
→ From "I think I'm profitable?" to "I made $23K this quarter."
→ From dreading tax season to feeling prepared months in advance.
→ From financial burnout to making confident business decisions.
Ready for bookkeeping that doesn’t suck?

The bottom line:
You're not broken, the systems are. I built better ones. I built better ones — designed to support your nervous system, reduce barriers, and help you build a business that works for you.
Scope of Practice Disclaimer: While I bring a trauma-informed understanding to our work together, I am a bookkeeper, not a financial therapist. My role is to support your business's financial organization and understanding while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. If you're interested in working with a financial therapist, I would be happy to refer you.
Investment Note: Pricing provided is a starting point and may be adjusted based on the complexity and specific needs of your business. The Community Exchange Program and accessibility accommodations I offer are business innovations designed to remove structural barriers to accessing quality financial services. I'm happy to provide a custom quote after learning more about your situation.
